This August, we’re joining in on the conversations surrounding neurosurgery awareness.
Our children’s hospitals & their foundation depend on funding to continue making epic strides in neurological health care, improving the lives of thousands of children in Canada.
Many are investing funds to develop comprehensive research and treatment facilities, like Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, who received a $2,000,000 donor gift to develop a Paediatric Epilepsy & Paediatric Neurosurgery program.
But Manitoba is not the only place where waves are being made—just west in Saskatchewan Paediatric neurologist Dr. Salah Almubarak moved to the province in 2014 to take on the role of lead specialist in building the Paediatric Epilepsy Program of Saskatchewan for the provincial paediatrics department at Jim Pattison Hospital.
