Providing world-class care to children
The IWK Health Centre is the champion of excellence in healthcare for women and children across the Maritimes. Every donation makes a difference to the health and well-being of our region’s women, children, youth and families by supporting equipment, programs, research and new facilities at the IWK. It’s because of our donor’s generosity that the IWK Health Centre provides world-class care close to home.

Changing critical care forever
With donors by our side, the IWK is determined to transform the way care is provided to our most critically ill and vulnerable patients through the redevelopment of Critical Care into state-of-the-art Neonatal and paediatric Intensive Care Units. With your help, we’re raising the funds to transform the physical space of NICU and PICU and to ensure the most advanced technology and equipment is available for our patients.

Providing better access to care through travelling clinics
At IWK, we offer unique travelling clinics where care providers can see patients at partner facilities in the Maritimes for follow-up visits. With 105 clinic days each year, these travelling clinics allow patients to receive care closer to home.
Funding life saving equipment in the emergency room
Thanks to generous contributions from donors, we can keep up with high demands for life saving equipment in our emergency room. Since we treat patients of varying ages, we need multiple pieces of equipment of different sizes.

About IWK Foundation
The IWK Foundation is a champion of excellence in women’s and children’s health and medicine and works in partnership with the IWK Health Centre to support their vision of providing quality care to women, children, youth and families in the Maritime Provinces and beyond. Our donors are passionately committed to making a difference for Maritime families, contributing more than $15 million in support of the most urgent care priorities at the IWK last year. Funds raised also support the IWK’s global leadership in research and knowledge sharing, which in turn improves lives worldwide.
