on March 1, 2022, in Restaurant
Glendale, Calif., (February 7, 2022) – Dine Brands Global announced IHOP® restaurants across Canada have kicked-off its first-ever “Month of Giving,” which will culminate with the return of National Pancake Day on Tuesday, March 1 at participating restaurants. IHOP is making it the sweetest year yet by welcoming Canadian guests back to dining rooms on March 1, 2022, with a free Short Stack of Buttermilk pancakes* and helping change kids’ health by funding critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services at local children’s hospitals.
This year, guests do not have to wait until National Pancake Day to show their support. Now through March 1, IHOP will celebrate Canada’s first-ever “Month of Giving” to accept guests’ donations for Children’s Miracle Network®.
“At IHOP, we pride ourselves on giving back to the communities we serve across Canada, not only on National Pancake Day, but every day. This event is particularly special to us as it provides families and friends even more reason to come together to support an important cause,” said William Urrego, Regional VP of Franchise Operations, Dine Brands Global, Inc.
Since the first National Pancake Day, IHOP guests around the world have collectively raised over $30 million for various children’s hospitals across Canada and the United States. In 2022, guests are encouraged to donate by adding a donation while ordering in restaurant or online via ihop.ca.
“On behalf of Canada’s children’s hospitals and the Children’s Miracle Network, a heartfelt thank you to IHOP restaurants, employees, and customers for helping to make a difference for Canada’s kids and their families by making amazing healthcare and health advancements possible,” says Mark Hierlihy, President and CEO of Canada’s Children’s Hospital Foundations. “Thanks to their generous efforts, Canada’s children’s hospitals will receive vital funds to support research, care, and healing environments that can change the health of Canada’s kids and change the health of Canada.”
