
Nutrition Month works to Educate Against Type 2 Diabetes
It’s never too early to learn about healthy eating, especially for Type 2 diabetes prevention.
March is Nutrition Month, and as supporters of children’s health, we recognize the role that healthy eating and food education plays in the lives of kids. That’s why we’re proud of our partnership with Sun Life and their Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Program Meant2Prevent.
With Sun Life’s generous support, 13 of Canada’s children’s hospitals have partnered to establish a national initiative: Meant2Prevent, a type 2 diabetes prevention program focused on healthy habits for kids and adolescents. We believe that early intervention has the greatest potential for impact across the lifespan—and that this approach is key to building healthier, sustainable communities.
