Over $60K Raised for IWK at Fredericton’s Play Yellow Golf Event

July 28, 2025, Fredericton, New Brunswick — The sun was shining on Monday, July 28, as golfers, donors, and local champions came together for the Play Yellow event in support of the IWK Foundation.

Held at the Fredericton Golf Club, the day raised over $60,000 for the IWK’s most urgent needs, helping ensure that Maritime children and families continue to receive world-class care, close to home.

Play Yellow is a North America-wide initiative inspired by Jack and Barbara Nicklaus to support children’s hospitals through golf. Funds raised at this local event will directly support the IWK and the 100,000+ patient visits it sees each year.

Special guests in attendance included Norah Matchett, the 2025 Champion Child for the IWK, and her brother Kayden, as well as her parents, Marie and Erik.  “One of the highlights of the day was Norah handing out friendship bracelets to the golfers, and having her cartwheel down the fairway,” said Sarah Moore, Relationship Manager for the IWK Foundation.

Thank you to all participants and sponsors who made this day such a success for Maritime families.
